What to do with Empty EO Bottles?

I am expecting my order of Essential Oils to come soon (yeyy) so I took a look at the studio last night and cleared out all the empty bottles of EO that have been taking up shelf space. Well, there were a lot of empty bottles! Typically I just throw the bottles into the recycling bin, but I collected 8 empty bottles and it seemed like such a waste.

So here are my two ideas for today….and let me tell you, my house smells phenomenal just creating these.

First up was diffuser water. I grabbed a glass bottle and added in filtered water. I chose two of the oils that smell great together, took off the caps and the dropper insert (save this and throw it in the water as well). Throw the cap back on the glass bottle and let it sit until you’re ready to use it! I should be able to get two full diffusers out of this bottle, so it’s a great bonus from something I would have just thrown away.

Next up is a mixture for the bath/shower/or even a foot soak. In a small glass bowl I added Epsom salts, dried lavender (optional) and two empty EO bottles (caps removed). This will be left in the bathroom, which makes the bathroom smell heavenly, and is ready to use when needed. Maybe even have it in the shower and use as a wonderful exfoliating body scrub!

Always use glass containers with Essential Oils, some of the oils don’t react so well with plastic.

What do you do with your empty EO bottles? I would love some more creative ideas.
